Balkh Governor Mullah Mohammad Yousuf Wafa met with the Consul Generals of Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, along with the Trade Representative of the Kazakh Embassy in Mazar-e-Sharif.
According to a statement from the Balkh Provincial Media Center, the meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, and promoting social, economic, and cultural cooperation, as well as addressing the return of migrants and the facilitation of visa issuance.
The governor urged the consulates to support victims, implement infrastructure projects, facilitate the voluntary return of migrants, and ease the visa process for residents of the northern provinces.
The statement added that the consuls general expressed their readiness to cooperate across various sectors, including the provision of humanitarian aid and the execution of development projects in Afghanistan.
