Construction of New Refugee Town Begins in Ghazni

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, inaugurated a newly developed township yesterday afternoon in Ghazni province for returnees’ subject to forced repatriation.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani; the Governor of Ghazni; the Deputy Governor of Paktika; religious scholars; community elders; and other local officials of Ghazni.

Deputy PMl for Administrative Affairs assured that the Islamic Emirate’s leadership and authorities are making continuous endeavors to ensure comfort and provision of requisite facilities within the country for citizens forcibly displaced from neighboring and other nations.

H.E Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi further stated that the Islamic Emirate never lags behind in delivering services and social welfare to returnees.

It is worth noting that this returnee township in Ghazni is planned on 4,000 acres of land altogether, of which the first phase encompasses more than 1,900 jeribs.
