Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, in a recent telephone conversation with Mr. Sparov Anna Gildi, Minister of Electricity and Energy of Turkmenistan, expressed his gratitude for strengthened bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries and praised ongoing collaboration and its significance for both nations.
During the conversation, Minister Sparov discussed developments related to the Noorul-Jihad substation and other key projects.
Dr. Omar thanked him for the hospitality shown during the opening meeting of Noorul-Jihad Substation Development Project and provided updates on the progress of various electricity transmission, absorption, and development initiatives.
Moreover, Dr. Omar also expressed appreciation for Turkmenistan’s economic cooperation with Afghanistan, particularly in the electricity sector. He assured Minister Sparov that efforts would be made to enhance and solidify their economic partnerships, emphasizing that timely resolution of issues will further strengthen the strategic economic relations between the two countries.
In response, Minister Sparov underscored the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan and extended an invitation to Dr. Omar to visit Ashgabat to sign and extend the electricity purchase agreement for 2025, highlighting the commitment to deepening their collaborative efforts.
