Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, held a meeting in his office with investors from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to discuss investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s energy sector, specifically in power generation.
At the beginning of the meeting, CEO Dr. Omar warmly welcomed the investors and shared comprehensive information about the existing opportunities in Afghanistan for energy production.
The investors from both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan presented their plans and proposals regarding energy production and technical capacity-building for Afghan engineers. They expressed a strong interest in investing in Afghanistan’s electricity sector.
CEO Dr. Omar assured the investors of DABS’s full cooperation and emphasized that electricity production is a top priority within DABS’s investment policy framework. He highlighted that DABS has previously engaged in joint ventures with both national and international investors under the same framework.
It is worth mentioning that the investors from these two countries aim to initiate power production in Afghanistan on both small and large scales, while also offering technical training programs for Afghan engineers.
