The National Food and Drug Board held a meeting this afternoon, led by His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with board members in attendance.
During the meeting, each member shared updates and reports on their ongoing work and responsibilities.
The board then discussed and reviewed several key issues, including pharmaceutical quality control, the safety of locally produced and imported food products, the prevention of illegal and substandard goods, the standardization of local manufacturing facilities, and updates to the approved list of essential medicines.
The session ended with a series of decisions on these topics, and the relevant authorities were instructed to step up monitoring efforts to ensure the quality of medicines and food products across both the capital and the provinces.
