A coordination meeting was held, chaired by Mufti Abdullah Azzam, the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office. The meeting brought together the Public Relations Directorate of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office and representatives from local non-government organizations to discuss the increase of long-term development aid and the resolution of issues faced by these organizations.
During the meeting, Mufti Abdullah Azzam acknowledged the crucial role played by local non-government organizations in providing humanitarian aid, especially during recent natural disasters in Afghanistan, and expressed the Islamic Emirate’s gratitude for their efforts. He emphasized that, after decades of conflict, the opportunity has now arisen to rebuild Afghanistan and address fundamental issues faced by the people. He encouraged these organizations to collaborate closely with the Islamic Emirate and focus their efforts on development projects, which will help resolve the country’s economic challenges in the long run.
Following this, the representatives of the organizations expressed their gratitude to the officials of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for organizing the coordination meeting aimed at resolving their issues and enhancing long-term development aid. They shared their challenges and provided suggestions on how to attract and implement long-term aid with the officials of the Office.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of establishing coordination between the Islamic Emirate and local non-government organizations and reiterated their commitment to continue working together in this area.
