Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, hosted a meeting with representatives from 77 Turkish Company at his office. The discussion focused on enhancing collaboration in electricity generation projects utilizing solar, wind, coal, and gas, with particular emphasis on the Kajaki Power Plant.
During the meeting, Mr. Suleyman Ciliv, the representative of the Turkish 77 Company in Afghanistan, provided insights into the operational status of the Kajaki Power Plant and discussed the potential for raising the water level at the facility.
Mr. Ciliv also presented details on the Sarubi 120 MW and Herat 200 MW wind power projects, seeking the support of Dr. Omar for these initiatives.
In response, Dr. Omar expressed his commitment to the representatives of Turkish 77 Company in terms of their planned projects and banking cooperation. He also shared updates regarding the ongoing Kandahar network reform and strengthening efforts, and construction of two substations in Kandahar and Zabul provinces.
Dr. Omar acknowledged the cooperation of the Turkish 77 Company representatives and highlighted the significant opportunities for electricity production in Afghanistan. He emphasized the need for sustainable energy solutions to combat environmental pollution and address the growing electricity demand in the country.
Mr. Suleyman Ciliv concluded the meeting by expressing hope that Dr. Omar would visit Turkey to observe the electricity systems and projects implemented by their Company.
