KABUL — EU Special Representative Gilles Bertrand and his delegation met with Shaikh Sahib Sheer Ahmad Haqqani, Minister of Information and Culture, to discuss media development and cultural cooperation.
Bertrand, on his first visit to Afghanistan, expressed hope for closer coordination and reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting projects in media, education, health, and the preservation of historical monuments.
Minister Haqqani appreciated the EU’s cooperation, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to strengthening the media sector, safeguarding journalists, and protecting the country’s cultural heritage.
