The Ministry of Finance says the process of repaying funds for World Bank projects and contracted companies—whose documents had been reviewed by the World Bank’s oversight team and the ministry—has begun.
According to the ministry, based on these assessments, the World Bank owes nearly 45 million dollars to contracted companies, which will be paid in four phases.
The ministry added that in the first phase, 9.3 million dollars will be paid directly by the World Bank to foreign contracting companies.
In the second phase, which has now started, 16.8 million dollars will be paid to companies through the Ministry of Finance, with the third and fourth phases to follow in sequence.
