Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is currently in prison, wrote on his Facebook that the prolonged solitary confinement imposed on him and his wife amounts to severe psychological torture. He stated that they are being denied access to their rights and facilities.
The former Prime Minister has urged the public to protest against the court’s verdict.
He said that in Pakistan, instead of the law, the will of Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, prevails, and that court rulings are pre-written and merely read out in court.
