Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat leadership, following the successful inauguration of power projects in Kunduz and Balkh, has now unveiled the renovation of a key power transmission line in Jawzjan.
The two newly launched projects—the renovation of the 110 kV power transmission line from Sheberghan Jarqadoq substation to the Bayat Power T-connection, and extension of 20 kV power grid in Pul-e-Khorasan—mark significant milestones in the region’s energy development.
The inauguration ceremony was led by DABS CEO Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, alongside local government officials, further ensuring the region’s power supply is both stable and reliable for its residents.
The renovation of the 110 kV transmission line from Sheberghan Jarqadoq substation to Bayat Power T-connection has greatly enhanced the power supply for Jawzjan, Balkh, Faryab, Sarpul, and four districts of Andkhoy.
It has effectively resolved all existing technical issues, strengthening the infrastructure and providing a more reliable energy source to these regions.
In addition, the extension of 20 kV power grid project in Pul-e-Khorasan, which saw an increase in power voltage from 6 kV to 20 kV, has greatly improved the stability of local power supply. This upgrade has successfully addressed various technical challenges, providing more efficient energy distribution to the area’s residents.
Both projects were completed at a total cost of around 112 million Afghanis, funded entirely by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat’s budget.
As part of its continuous efforts to modernize Afghanistan’s energy infrastructure, DABS is actively working on the construction and renovation of large, medium, and small-scale power grids to ensure timely and widespread access to electricity for all customers.
