Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, emphasized the importance of treating Afghan refugees with compassion during a meeting with a high-level Iranian delegation.
According to the ministry, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir met with Mohammad Reza Bahrami, advisor to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul, Ali Reza Begdali, and accompanying officials.
The discussions focused on the situation of Afghan refugees, facilitating their voluntary return, and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Mawlawi Kabir highlighted the need for patience and respectful treatment of Afghan migrants, while also presenting a plan to construct 46 settlements to support returning refugees.
In response, Mr. Bahrami praised the Islamic Emirate’s initiative and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to the humane treatment of Afghanrefugees.
