Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, said in a meeting with Arfat Jamal, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees’ representative, that the Islamic Emirate’s distribution of food and cash assistance to returnees continues.
He expressed appreciation for the cooperation of UN agencies with Afghanistan and emphasized that the world should not tie humanitarian aid to politics.
Meanwhile, Arfat Jamal announced that hundreds of aid tents will soon be delivered to affected areas in Kunar province.
