Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, highlighted the significance of the third Doha meeting, describing it as a pivotal achievement.
He emphasized that participating countries acknowledged and endorsed the evolving situation in Afghanistan. Discussions also included commitments from the private sector to bolster efforts against drug trafficking.
Additionally, Mujahid disclosed sideline talks with the United Nations deputy and American representative regarding the transfer of Afghanistan’s UN seat to the Islamic Emirate.
Economic, commercial, and political matters, along with the reopening of foreign embassies in Kabul, were also deliberated.
He further addressed the release of Afghan prisoners from American detention, which was discussed with the US special representative for Afghanistan in Doha.
In the course of this discussion, Mujahid underscored the importance of constructive media criticism for societal reform, stressing that such scrutiny plays a crucial role in holding both the government and the public accountable.
