The meeting of the Supreme Council of Da Afghanistan Bank was held under the chairmanship of Noor Ahmad Agha, the Governor of the Bank.
In a statement, Da Afghanistan Bank said that the meeting discussed the effective implementation of monetary policies, the overall condition of the banking sector, efforts to expand Islamic banking in the country, the mechanization of money exchange and financial service providers’ operations, and improving banking facilities for the public.
The Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank stated that over the past year, the value of the Afghan currency has remained stable against the U.S. dollar and has shown improvement compared to the currencies of many regional and global countries.
