Minister of Economy, Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, met with Dr. Tajuddin Owela, Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in Kabul to discuss facilities and support for returnees.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed appreciation for UNICEF’s continued assistance to the Afghan people and called for an increase in staff to strengthen service delivery, particularly in ensuring access to clean drinking water in the Omari camp.
For his part, the UNICEF Director reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continued cooperation and humanitarian support for those in need.
