Minister of Public Health discusses health issues with UK Charge d’Affaires for Afghanistan

Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali met with British Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan Robert Dixon and his delegation to discuss key health-related issues.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, the meeting covered the current state of healthcare services, the management of international aid, the establishment of new health centers, and the provision of facilities for treating cancer patients and individuals struggling with drug addiction.

Minister Jalali emphasized the need to establish health centers in remote areas and highlighted the Islamic Emirate’s efforts to gradually move the country’s health system toward self-sufficiency. He also stressed the importance of managing international aid effectively and aligning its distribution with the Ministry’s priorities.

In response, Robert Dixon expressed appreciation for the efforts to enhance transparency and self-reliance in the Afghan health sector and pledged continued British support in these areas.
