In a high-level meeting at his official office, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held talks with Abdul Rahman Sharif, Senior Humanitarian Representative of Save the Children International, to address key public health priorities and collaborative efforts.
Also in attendance was the Deputy Minister for Healthcare Services, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani.
The delegation from Save the Children briefed the Ministry on their ongoing initiatives and shared critical insights regarding the provision of healthcare services for returnees.
They reaffirmed their commitment to scaling up operations and pledged readiness to extend support at the national level.
H.E. Jalali welcomed the organization’s efforts and called for deeper strategic engagement. He underscored the need for efficient aid management and the delivery of standardized, high-quality services, particularly for vulnerable populations.
He further emphasized the Ministry’s long-term vision of steering the health sector toward self-sufficiency, with the ultimate aim of building a resilient and sustainable healthcare system capable of delivering equitable, top-tier services nationwide.
