The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement expressing dissatisfaction with the decision of the Norwegian Royal Government to downgrade diplomatic relations.
The ministry emphasized that such decisions should not be linked to the internal affairs of other countries. It noted that diplomatic engagement is most effective when it fosters mutual understanding and respect between parties, even in the face of differing perspectives.
The statement also highlighted that access to consular services is a fundamental right of every citizen and urged all parties to prioritize this principle in the spirit of international cooperation.
