This hospital will provide advanced maternal, child, and internal medicine services for Kandahar and the southern provinces.”
He thanked the Government of Qatar and Qatar Charity for their support and added: “I believe this hospital will give thousands of mothers and children access to quality health services.”
Qatar’s Chargé d’Affaires Dr. Al-Qashouti said: “It is a matter of happiness that this hospital will help reduce maternal and child mortality.” He stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in improving maternal and child health, adding that the hospital will serve not only Kandahar but also the wider southern region.
Meanwhile, Dr. Munim Shah, Qatar Charity’s head in Afghanistan, stated: “Today we gather to sign this agreement for building a hospital in Afghanistan. This project is not just about constructing a building, but about a true commitment to the health and well-being of mothers and children.”
