The Ministry of Public Works reported that from June 28th to July 4th, 2024, a total of 76,881 metric tons of goods were transported via the ministry’s railway lines. This included 62,133 tons through Hairatan Port, 5,213 tons through Aqeena Port, and 9,535 tons through Turghundai Port, encompassing both imports and exports of petroleum, non-petroleum products, and other materials.
Of these transfers, 3,335 metric tons were specifically exported last week, primarily consisting of dried fruits and pomegranate juice.
The Ministry is actively working to expand railway infrastructure to enhance transportation capabilities and provide necessary support to traders.
