National entrepreneur and head of Azizi Group, Mirwais Azizi, honored Afghanistan’s national under-17 futsal team in a special ceremony, presenting them with the previously announced prize of one million Afghanis.
During the event, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Training, and Sports, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Azizi for his generous initiative.
He urged other businesspersons, investors, and national institutions to view the support of sports and athletes as a patriotic duty.
Mr. Wasiq emphasized that supporting athletes is an investment in the nation’s strength, international reputation, and the confidence of the next generation.
He added that Afghan athletes continue to demonstrate to the world that Afghans are capable of achieving success in every field and competition.
