Mohammad Zakir Jalali, the Second Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that high-level meetings between Afghanistan and the United States, along with the recent release of prisoners, can pave the way for strengthening relations in other areas based on mutual respect and shared interests.
He added that both sides have reached a mutual understanding and are working to resolve the issue of prisoners appropriately while continuing discussions on other areas of cooperation.
According to Jalali, recognizing the realities and sensitivities of both the Afghan and American sides can play a key role in advancing future interactions.
