The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum announced that more than 100,000 individuals are currently employed, both directly and indirectly, in gold mining projects across the districts of Shahr-e-Bozorg, Yawan, Kohistan, Raghistan, Khwahan, and Arghanj Khwa in Badakhshan province.
The ministry further stated that work has commenced on 17 development projects valued at 223 million afghanis, implemented within the framework of social services initiatives undertaken by mining contracting companies operating in the province
