Deputy Administrative Minister of the Interior, Mullah Rahmatullah Najib, announced at a press conference that the Pakistani negotiating team had requested the Afghan delegation to issue a “Wrong” fatwa condemning the ongoing conflict in Pakistan.
Mullah Najib stated that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan responded by emphasizing that it is not their mandate to declare the war in Pakistan either lawful or unlawful, as the matter does not concern Afghanistan.
He further clarified, “The Darul Ifta of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan operates independently and issues fatwas solely in accordance with Sharia principles. We cannot dictate or influence the content of such religious rulings.”
