The Supreme Court has announced that, in accordance with the decree of His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin and the guidance of Shaikh Abdul Hakim Haqqani, Chief Justice and Head of the Supreme Court, a total of 2,463 prisoners were released, while the sentences of 3,152 others were reduced on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
This process was overseen by a committee led by the Chief Judicial Inspector General of the Supreme Court and was officially approved by His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin.
