NExA Provides Probable Plan for the 1404 Year Kankor Exam

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), the National Examination Authority (NExA) held a press conference to provide comprehensive information on the probable plan for the 1404 solar year examinations, including General Kankor, as well as religious schools, specialized and night shift faculties.

During the press conference, the head of NExA, Sheikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani, stated that the General Kankor Exam is conducted in five rounds.

The first round will take place on the 7th, 8th and 9th of Jawza; the second round on the 28th, 29th and 30th of Jawza; the third round on the 5th and 6th of Saratan; the fourth round on the 13th of Saratan; and the fifth round on the 20th of Saratan.

Providing more details about the exam, Sheikh Haqqani added that the following provinces are managed in specific rounds: Maidan Wardak, Logar, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Ghazni, Paktika, Baghlan, Ghor, Bamyan and Daikundi provinces are placed in the first round; Nangarhar, Kandahar, Nimroz, Paktia, three districts of Nuristan, Laghman, Helmand, Zabul, Kunar, Khost, Farah and Uruzgan provinces are placed in the second round; Takhar, Jawzjan, Badghis, Kunduz, Sar-e Pul, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Samangan and Badakhshan provinces are placed in the third round; and Kabul Province is placed in the fourth round.

Moreover, the head of NExA said that the fifth round will be held in Kabul province on the 20th of Saratan, allocating for religious schools, 14th-grade graduates, absentees of provinces, outside of the border, and night shift faculties.

Based on the information provided by the head of NExA, in this year, the attraction capacities for the master’s program are 3,000 individuals, for higher education are 76,400 individuals, and for semi-higher education are 33,550 individuals.

Furthermore, the head of NExA stated that we promise the nation that the exam will be carried out with transparency to find the way the talented students to higher education.

The head of NExA emphasized that thorough preparations have been made for this year’s Kankor exam. New and standardized questions have been made based on the Education Ministry’s curriculum in Pashto, Dari, Arabic and English languages.

According to the information, the result of the Kankor exam will be announced either in the end of Saratan month or in the early days of Asad month.
