Announcement
In order to fully implement Decree No. 793/5671 dated 17/10/1446 issued by H.E. the Supreme Leader of the IEA, may Allah protect him, and to safeguard public interests, ensure the quality of petroleum products, regulate the oil and liquefied gas market, and completely prevent the import and distribution of low-quality petroleum products, all petroleum and liquefied gas traders, importing companies, and other relevant natural and legal persons are hereby informed of the following:
1. All petroleum importing companies are required to import petroleum products and liquefied gas strictly in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
The importation of petroleum products contrary to the established standards shall be considered a clear violation, and the perpetrators will be referred to the competent authorities without any leniency, in accordance with the decrees of H.E. the Supreme Leader of the IEA, may Allah protect him.
2. Fuel depots and pumping stations are required to purchase petroleum products and liquefied gas only from authorized and licensed companies and must retain the sales documentation of the supplying company.
In the event of an inspection, if the presence of low-quality petroleum products that do not comply with the applicable standards is confirmed, the Board Responsible for Preventing the Import of Low-Quality Fuel will immediately take the necessary legal measures.
The Board for Preventing the Import of Low-Quality Fuel is committed to conducting comprehensive and continuous monitoring to strictly enforce applicable standards throughout Afghanistan and considers this responsibility one of its fundamental and urgent priorities.
