Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Urchak told a Russian media outlet that Moscow is interested in building and expanding railway infrastructure in Afghanistan to strengthen transport links with countries to the south.
He added that various options for constructing a railway across Afghanistan are under discussion, and Russian experts are currently studying the feasibility of such projects.
