A Russian delegation is set to visit Afghanistan to discuss the expansion of the country’s railway network, following talks between Fazl Mohammad Saber, Afghanistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Ashgabat, and Ivan Tonkekh, a representative of Russian Railways.
During the meeting, the Russian official welcomed Afghanistan’s reduced customs tariffs and improved business environment, and said the delegation would hold talks with relevant Afghan authorities on railway development. Both sides also emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation and exploring investment opportunities.
