Saudi Arabia Grants Fresh Economic Support to Yemen

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) of Yemen on Saturday welcomed new Saudi economic assistance worth 1.38 billion Saudi riyals (about 368 million U.S. dollars) aimed at stabilizing the country’s fragile economy and supporting ongoing reforms.

In a statement posted on X, PLC Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi said the grant reflects Riyadh’s “firm commitment to the Yemeni people and their aspirations for stability, peace, and development.”

He added that part of the funding will go toward covering the operating costs of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden.

Yemeni Prime Minister Salem bin Buraik also praised the Saudi support, noting that it would strengthen the economy and help preserve the progress made under government-led reforms.
