Secretariat of the High Commission to address the Problems of migrants

Daily Work Report of the Committees

On Monday, 1446/5/23, corresponding to 1403/9/5, Afghan refugees returned from different routes in the country and necessary services were provided to them in different areas.

The full report is presented as follows:

Nangarhar

Torkham (Durand Line)

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

8 families returned to the country through Torkham and 45 members of these families were registered and biometrically scanned.

Transportation committee

1 family with 10 members from Torkham was safely transported to Nangarhar and the family was also paid (5000 Afghanis).

Financial management Committee

A total of (52,000) Afghanis have been provided to 6 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health Affairs Committee

The following different services, including health, have been provided to the returning refugees at the Torkham Omari Camp:

Food: 180 meals and water have been distributed at Torkham.

Health: 259 returning refugees have been treated at Torkham.

Communications: 29 SIM cards, including free minutes and internet packages, have been distributed to the returning refugees.

Kandahar

Spin Boldak (Durand Line)

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

16 families with 91 members have returned to the country and registered through Spin Boldak.

Transportation committee

5 families with 47 members have been safely transported from Spin Boldak to Kandahar and Kabul, and (13,000) Afghanis have been paid as rent to these families.

Financial management Committee

A total of (144,000) Afghanis has been provided to 16 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health Affairs Committee

The following services, including health, were provided to the returning refugees in Spin Boldak:

Food: 218 food parcels and water were distributed in Spin Boldak.

Health: 76 returning refugees were treated in Spin Boldak.

Communications: 103 SIM cards were distributed to the returning refugees by the Telecommunication Services Authority, which included free minutes and internet packages.

Nimroze

Abrishom way

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

42 families with 153 members from the Abrishom way in Nimroz province have returned to the country and registered, and 1441 travelers have also returned to the country.

Financial management Committee

A total of (258,000) Afghanis have been provided to 35 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health Affairs Committee

The following services, including health, were provided to the migrants returning from the Abrishom way of Nimroze:

Communications: The officials of the Communications and Information Technology Department distributed 41 SIM cards to the migrants free of charge, including free minutes and internet packages.

Information and Public Awareness Committee

Public awareness was provided to the migrants from the Abrishom way of Nimroze. These migrants were given useful information about their registration, transfer, financial assistance, temporary agreement, and also about the country, the Islamic system, migration, patience and tolerance, education and training.

Herat

Islam Qala

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

Through Islam Qala, 108 families with 402 members have been returned to the country and registered.

Financial management Committee

A total of (694,000) Afghanis have been provided to 98 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Temporary agreement Committee

Today, 83 families have been settled in Islam Qala camp.

Kabul

Center

Transportation committee

13 families with 76 members have been safely transferred from Kabul to Paktia, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh and Sar-e-Pul provinces, and (33,300) Afghanis have been paid as rent to these families.

The total figures for the different activities of all committees are as follows:

Registered refugees: (174) families and (687) individuals

Transferred refugees: (19) families and (133) individuals

Assisted refugees: (155) families

Temporarily settled refugees: (83) families

SIM cards distributed: (173) units
