Secretariat of the High Commission to address the Problems of migrants

Daily Work Report of the Committees

On Wednesday, 1446/5/25, corresponding to 1403/9/7, Afghan refugees returned from different parts of the country and necessary services were provided to them in different areas.

The full report is presented as follows:

Nangarhar

Torkham (Durand Line)

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

13 families returned to the country through Torkham and 80 members of these families were registered and biometrically scanned.

Transportation committee

4 families with 22 members from Torkham were safely transported to Nangarhar and (18,000) Afghanis were also paid to these families.

Financial management Committee

A total of (152,000) Afghanis have been provided to 18 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health Affairs Committee

The following different services, including health, have been provided to the returning refugees at the Torkham Omari Camp:

Food: 210 meals and water have been distributed at Torkham.

Health: 77 returning refugees have been treated at Torkham.

Communications: 42 SIM cards, including free minutes and internet packages, have been distributed to the returning refugees.

Kandahar

Spin Boldak (Durand Line)

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

24 families with 137 members have returned to the country and registered.

Financial management Committee

A total of (206,000) Afghanis have been provided to 24 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health and affairs Committee

The following different services, including health, have been provided to the returning refugees in Spin Boldak:

Food: 153 meals and water have been distributed in Spin Boldak.

Health: 81 returning refugees have been treated in Spin Boldak.

Telecommunications: The Telecommunications Services Authority has distributed 41 free SIM cards to the returned refugees, including free minutes and internet packages.

Nimroze

Abrishom way

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

65 families with 271 members from the Abrishom way in Nimroz province have returned to the country and registered, and 1623 passengers have also returned to the country.

Financial management Committee

A total of (404,000) Afghanis have been provided to 54 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Services and Health Affairs Committee

The following services, including health, were provided to the migrants returning from the Abrishom way of Nimroze:

Communications: The officials of the Communications and Information Technology Department distributed 65 SIM cards to the migrants free of charge, including free minutes and internet packages.

Information and Public Awareness Committee

Public awareness was provided to the migrants from the Abrishom way of Nimroze. These migrants were given useful information about their registration, transfer, financial assistance, temporary agreement, and also about the country, the Islamic system, immigration, patience and tolerance, education and training.

Herat

Islam Qala

Registration, confirmation and Receiving Committee

73 families with 290 members returned to the country and registered through Islam Qala.

Financial management Committee

A total of (498,000) Afghanis have been provided to 69 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

The total figures for the different activities of all committees are as follows:

Registered refugees: (175) families and (778) individuals

Transferred refugees: (4) families and (22) individuals

Assistance provided to refugees: (165) families

SIM cards distributed: (148) units
