To enhance literacy levels among illiterate and semi-literate individuals, the Ministry of Education signed a Memorandum of agreement with 25 ministries and departments.
The signing ceremony was attended by Alhaj Mawlawi Sakhaullah Sayeed, Deputy Minister for Education and Acting Minister of Education; Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Khaliq Sadiq, Deputy Minister for Quality Assurance; several directors and officials from the Ministry of Education; as well as deputies and representatives from the respective ministries.
The signing of these agreements also paved the way for further collaboration with other ministries and departments.
At the outset, the Deputy Minister for Education welcomed the guests and elaborated on the importance of these agreements.
He emphasized that, in an unprecedented move, the Ministry of Education is extending educational services to remote areas of the country places that had been previously neglected by former administrations.
He further stated that alongside the ministry’s advancements in various educational sectors, today’s agreement aims to eliminate illiteracy in government institutions and improve literacy levels among employees.
The agreement provides a golden opportunity for those working in these ministries and departments who have been deprived of education to benefit from the light of knowledge and learning.
Subsequently, the Deputy Minister for Quality Assurance highlighted the significance of these agreements, stressing that education has been explicitly emphasized in the Holy Quran.
He remarked that progress in all daily activities is fundamentally tied to education and literacy.
Additionally, several officials from various ministries and esteemed scholars addressed the gathering, speaking about the importance of knowledge and literacy. They encouraged members of society to pursue education and learning.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Alhaj Mawlawi Sakhaullah Saeed, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, signed the agreements with authorized representatives from 25 ministries and departments.
It is worth noting that, in line with the Ministry of Education’s policies, such agreements not only enhance literacy among employees of various ministries and institutions but also provide a valuable opportunity for the exchange of experiences.
