In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Forty-five years ago, on 6 Jadi, 1358 of the Solar Hijri calendar, the Soviet Union’s Red Army, with the support of its few local allies, launched an invasion of Afghanistan. This invasion posed a severe threat to the religion, freedom, prosperity, and social security of the Afghan people.
Alhamdulillah, the resilient Afghan nation did not remain silent in the face of this aggression. With unity, determination, and steadfast courage, they stood firm against the Soviet forces, sacrificing their lives, wealth, and everything they owned for the cause of jihad.
As a result of the Afghan people’s sacrifices, hardships, martyrdoms, and unwavering commitment, and with the help of Allah, the once-powerful Soviet forces suffered a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan and were forced to retreat after nine years.
This event demonstrates that the Afghan people are deeply committed to their faith, value their freedom and independence, and are ready to sacrifice everything in defense of their beliefs. This proud nation will stay united, firm in its faith, and triumphant. InshaAllah.
The Islamic Emirate condemns the Soviet invasion on the 6 Jadi, 1358 of the Solar Hijri calendar and honors the jihad and sacrifices of the Afghan people. IEA prays that all martyrs who gave their lives for freedom and independence are granted the highest place in paradise, and that those who were wounded or disabled are richly rewarded for their sacrifices.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also urges future generations to follow the path of their ancestors, defending their faith and homeland with courage, standing firm against any form of invasion and oppression.
