Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening relations between Afghanistan and Oman, with particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in the areas of trade, transit, and transportation.
During the conversation, Mr. Muttaqi described his recent visit to Oman as productive and stressed the importance of exchanging delegations to enhance cooperation across various sectors. He also invited his Omani counterpart to visit Kabul, noting that high-level consultations between the two countries would be beneficial.
For his part, the Omani Foreign Minister also underscored the importance of mutual delegation exchanges for expanding bilateral cooperation. He announced that an Omani technical aviation delegation is expected to visit Kabul in the near future.
Mr. Al Busaidi further expressed his readiness to travel to Kabul and voiced hope that constructive discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation would take place during the visit.
