The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Attends the Inauguration Ceremony of Several Major Projects by Azizi Group

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, attended the inauguration ceremony of several major charitable and commercial projects, as well as educational institutions, launched by Azizi Group, February 20, 2025.

During his speech at the ceremony, the Deputy PM stated that the initiation of key projects by Azizi Group in various sectors is a significant and crucial step in private investment in Afghanistan. He emphasized that these projects would create new employment opportunities for citizens, facilitate access to essential and fundamental services, and play an important role in the country’s development.

Referring to the economic situation of the country, he highlighted that security has been established nationwide, major economic projects are being implemented, and trade and diplomatic relations with other countries are expanding, promising further positive developments in the future. He added:

“Obedience and respect are fundamental principles of the Islamic Emirate, which will always be upheld. The Islamic Emirate is solely focused on implementing Sharia, developing the country, and ensuring the well-being of the nation.”

Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund called on the international community to engage with Afghanistan through positive interactions, stating that economic and political pressures are not beneficial to any party. He stressed that history has proven that pressure does not pave the way for cooperation and relations; instead, it distances nations and countries from each other, ultimately disrupting the proper course of engagement. He urged that mutual relations and interactions should be pursued within the framework of accepted principles.

At the conclusion of the event, the Deputy PM congratulated the officials of Azizi Group on the launch of these projects and encouraged all investors to invest in their own country, assuring them that the Islamic Emirate is committed to providing full cooperation and support.

It is worth mentioning that Azizi Group has initiated the implementation of a 400-bed hospital for cancer treatment, a 200-bed maternity hospital for maternal and child health, standard schools, a nursing institute, a medical university, and a 200-megawatt electricity generation project in Kabul.
