Today, On August 22, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met with a group of Kuwaiti investors in his office. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Water and Energy, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor.
During the meeting, both sides discussed investment and trade opportunities in Afghanistan.
The Kuwaiti investors expressed that Afghanistan has now become a favorable destination for investment, and they are keen to engage not only in various investment sectors but also in trade. Additionally, the investors mentioned their intention to establish a robust foundation in Afghanistan to manage aid provided by Islamic countries.
According to them, this foundation, in coordination with the Islamic Emirate, will ensure that the aid is directed toward helping impoverished Afghans and supporting developmental projects. This effort is expected to create new job opportunities and contribute to infrastructure development.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs welcomed the Kuwaiti investors’ plans to invest in Afghanistan, their interest in trade, and the establishment of a strong developmental foundation. He assured them that the Islamic Emirate will fully cooperate and support their initiatives.
