The Minister of Public Health conducted an official visit to Kunduz province

The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, along with an accompanying delegation, conducted an official visit to Kunduz province, where he inspected the operational services of the Kunduz Regional Hospital and held a meeting with the hospital’s medical personnel.

The Minister was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammad Taher Haleem, Chief of Staff at the Minister’s Office; Dr. Mohammadullah Hikmat, Director of Public Health in Kunduz; and other senior officials.

During the visit, Minister Jalali commended the efforts of the hospital’s healthcare staff, acknowledging their dedication and the quality of services provided. He also encouraged them to continue performing their duties with responsibility and to serve patients with professionalism and courage.

In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the Ministry’s strategic objectives to enhance and standardize healthcare services across the country.

He stated, “We are committed to establishing specialized centers for cancer treatment, expanding intensive care units, and strengthening diagnostic services nationwide.

Furthermore, we are making serious efforts to build the capacity of medical personnel and ensure the availability of essential resources.”

The session also featured speeches from Sheikh Mohammad Taher Haleem, central directors, and senior doctors from the Kunduz Regional Hospital.

The discussions focused on service quality, responsibilities of medical staff, and current needs in the healthcare sector.
