The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, convened a high-level meeting with the esteemed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao Xing, within his official office.
The deliberations encompassed critical issues, including the establishment of comprehensive training programs aimed at bolstering the expertise of traditional medicine practitioners, the expansion and modernization of Mirwais Regional Hospital in Kandahar province, structural reforms of healthcare facilities in the capital city, Kabul, and the provision of specialized treatment for pediatric cardiac conditions.
His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali underscored the profound significance of fostering bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China, highlighting the necessity for enhanced collaboration in the realm of healthcare.
He formally appealed for support in the professional development of medical personnel, the provision of advanced medical equipment for healthcare institutions, and initiatives to elevate the overall capacity of Afghan healthcare professionals.
In response, His Excellency Zhao Xing reaffirmed China’s unwavering commitment to ongoing cooperation.
He pledged substantial assistance in the reconstruction and modernization of Mirwais Regional Hospital in Kandahar and assured continued support for the treatment of children afflicted with heart diseases.
Furthermore, he announced China’s intention to dispatch a specialized medical team to Afghanistan to administer treatment to pediatric patients with cardiac ailments and, if required, facilitate their transfer to China for advanced medical care.
