The martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, has, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, once again shown that Israel’s Netanyahu administration is not interested in pursuing peace.
According to an IRGC statement, Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were martyred after their Tehran apartment was attacked.
“With condolences to the heroic nation of Palestine and the Islamic nation and the combatants of the Resistance Front and the noble nation of Iran, this morning (Wednesday) the residence of Mr. Dr. Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of the Islamic Resistance of Hamas, was hit in Tehran, and following this incident, he and one of his bodyguards were martyred,” said the statement.
An inquiry into the incident is still ongoing.
Member of the Hamas Political Bureau Mousa Abu Marzook has sworn retaliation for the death of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Resistance movement.
The Hamas representative emphasized that Haniyeh’s despicable murder will not go unpunished.
Speaking about the event, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan’ani stated that the relevant Iranian institutions are now looking into the incident’s specifics.
