Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Georgette Gagnon, Acting Head of UNAMA and Director of its Political Affairs Department.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting discussed the upcoming visit of Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General, to Afghanistan, as well as progress made by the counter-narcotics working groups, support for the private sector within the Doha Process, and future meetings.
During the meeting, Gagnon said the UN Under-Secretary-General is scheduled to visit Afghanistan by the end of the current month.
She also described the outcomes of previous meetings of the two Doha Process working groups as positive and emphasized that greater attention will be given to these areas.
