For the first time, a significant budget has been sanctioned for the establishment of General Hospitals (GH) in 318 districts across the country.
This historic decision, rooted in the proposal of the Ministry of Public Health, reflects the exceptional compassion and unwavering commitment of the esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him) to improving public health services.
Over six billion Afghanis, sourced from the Islamic Emirate’s domestic budget, have been allocated to facilitate the construction of these essential healthcare facilities, marking a pivotal milestone in the nation’s healthcare development.
To ensure the efficient and transparent execution of this project, the Ministry of Public Health, under the leadership of Mullah Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration, has initiated a rigorous procurement process.
This transparent process has already resulted in the completion of procurement for five hospitals in the provinces of Logar, Ghazni, and Farah. Construction activities are scheduled to commence imminently, setting the stage for improved healthcare access across the nation.
This initiative not only demonstrates a firm commitment to enhancing public health infrastructure but also underscores the government’s dedication to fostering the well-being of its citizens.
