Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, recently engaged in a detailed discussion with two investors from Austria and Czechoslovakia concerning potential investments in Afghanistan’s wind, solar, thermal, and hydropower sectors.
Dr. Omar emphasized that Afghanistan currently offers a promising environment for investment, particularly in the energy sector. He assured the investors of the country’s improved security situation and encouraged them to invest confidently across various sectors in the nation.
Dr. Omar also highlighted that all payments for electricity imported from foreign countries over the past years have been duly settled. Presently, payments for consumed electricity are made to foreign suppliers on a monthly basis, adhering to a consistent schedule.
Following in-depth technical and bilateral discussions, the investors expressed their readiness to visit Afghanistan as planned and to closely monitor the developments related to their potential investments.
