The White House has once again warned Tehran that it faces a choice between military action or reaching a deal on its nuclear program, following Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s rejection of a U.S. proposal for negotiations.
“We hope the Iran Regime puts its people and best interests ahead of terror,” White House National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes said in a statement on March 9.
He reiterated President Donald Trump’s remarks that “if we have to go in militarily, it’s going to be a terrible thing.”
