Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, met with Tedros Adhanom, Director-General of the World Health Organization, in India.
During the meeting, they discussed laboratory services for polio detection, support for Afghanistan’s health system, identifying alternative sources of cooperation and support for the country’s health sector, participation of Afghan health officials in international health conferences, and equipping public hospitals under construction in 318 districts.
The WHO Director-General assured full cooperation with Afghanistan and emphasized the importance of strengthening global health systems.
