The Israeli government released a statement on Tuesday morning, stating that 200 soldiers have lost their lives since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza. However, several media outlets covering the Gaza war claim that the number of Israeli soldier casualties is much higher than what has been officially reported. Al Jazeera reported last Sunday that 17 percent of the Israeli regime’s casualties are a result of internal conflicts, and one out of every five soldiers killed was a victim of friendly fire.
