According to the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave on Saturday, Israel’s ongoing onslaught on the Gaza Strip has resulted in at least 37,551 Palestinian martyrs since last October.
According to a ministry statement, the attack has also injured 85,911 other individuals, the most of them are women and children, similar to those who have been slain.
“In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli attacks have martyred 101 people and injured 169 others,” the statement read.
It further stated that many individuals are still on the roadways and beneath rubble following Israeli attacks that have lasted for more than eight months since rescuers are unable to access them.
Disregarding a UN Security Council resolution that calls for an immediate cease-fire, Israel has been under international criticism for its ongoing, ruthless assault on Gaza following a Hamas strike on October 7.
Large areas of Gaza are in ruins and there is a deadly siege of food, clean water, and medical supplies more than eight months into the Israeli-Gaza conflict.
The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and recently ordered Tel Aviv to immediately cease operations in Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians had sought safety from the fighting before it was attacked on May 6.
