Secretariat of the High Commission to Address the Problems of Migrants

Daily Work Report of Committees

On Saturday, 1446/3/18, which coincides with 1403/6/31, Afghan refugees returned from different routes of the country and they were provided necessary services in various areas.

The full report is presented as follow:

Nangarhar

Torkham (Durand Line)

Registration, Confirmation and Receiving Committee

Through Torkham, 23 families returned to the country and 112 members of these families were registered and biometriced.

Transportation committee

From Torkham, 14 families with a total of 77 members have been safely transported to Nangarhar, Laghman and Kabul provinces, and 56,000 Afghanis have been paid to these families.

Finance Management Committee

A total of (184,000 Afghanis) is given to 23 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Committee on Services and Health Affairs

The following services, including health, were provided to returning refugees in the Torkham camp:

Communications: 67-digit SIM cards have been distributed to the returnees, free of charge, with free minutes and internet packages enabled.

In Torkham, some clothes such as mattresses and other things have been distributed to the refugees.

Kandahar

Spin Boldak (Durand Line)

Registration, Confirmation and Receiving Committee

Through Spin Boldak, 15 families with 66 members have returned to the country and have been registered.

Finance Management Committee

A total of (176,000 Afghanis) is given to 23 families by the Financial Affairs Committee.

Committee on Services and Health Affairs

The following different services including health are provided to returning refugees in Spin Boldak:

Food: 352 food and water are distributed in the spin Boldak.

Health: 89 returnees have been treated in Spin Boldak.

Also, 349 refugees have been given public awareness in different areas of health.

Clothing: In temporary camps, tents and blankets have been distributed to refugees as needed.

Communication: The Department of Communication Services has distributed 112 SIM cards free of charge to the returned refugees, including free minutes and internet packages.

Nimroze

Abrishom way

Accreditation, Registration and Receiving Committee

19 families with the number of members 71 have returned to the country through the Abrishom way of Nimroz province and have been registered and also 868 travelers have returned to the country.

Finance Management Committee

A total of (118,000 Afghanis) has been given to 18 families by the Financial Affairs Organizing Committee.

Committee on Services and Health Affairs

The following services including health were provided to the returning migrants on the Abrishom way of Nimroze:

Communication: 19-digit SIM cards have been distributed to the refugees free of charge by the officials of communication and information technology, with free minutes and internet packages.

Committee on Information and Public Awareness

Public awareness was given to the refugees on the Abrishom way of Nimroz province. These refugees were given useful information about their registration, transfer, financial assistance, temporary agreement and understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience and tolerance, education and training.

Herat

Islam Qala

Accreditation, Registration and Reception Committee

11 families with 18 members returned to the country and were registered through Islam Qala.

Finance Management Committee

A total of (62,000) Afghanis has been given to 10 families by the Financial Affairs Organizing Committee.

Kabul

Center

Transportation committee

14 families with 87 members have been safely transported from Kabul to Jawzjan, Balkh and Kunduz provinces and 55,000 Afghani rent has been given to these families.

The total figures of the different activities of all the committees are as follows:

Registered immigrants: (68) families and (267) individuals

Transported refugees: (28) families and (164) individuals

Assisted migrants: (74) families

Shared SIM Cards: (198) Digits
