A cooperation agreement was signed between the National Disaster Management Authority and the Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO)

On Tuesday afternoon, the agreement was signed by the head of the National Disaster Management Authority, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi and the coordination officer of RSDO, Abdul Nasir Poya.

In addition to it, Honorable Abdul Naser Poya, the Coordination Officer of Razi RSDO Organization said, “Razi Organization has been active in Herat, Kandahar, Badghis, and Ghor provinces since 2000 (1378 Hijri Shamsi) in various

districts.

Mr. Poya added that based on a contract worth $383,449, food and cash assistance will be provided to 183,000 families in Zinda Jan, Kashk Kohna, Gulran, Kohsan districts and various areas of Herat city.

In addition to it, he stated that the survey will be conducted by Razi Organization and the monitoring by the Herat National Disaster Management Authority branch and Razi Organisation, and the World Food Program (WFP) will implement the assistance which will include 50 kg of wheat, 6.5 kg of pulses, 4.5 liters of oil, 0.5 kg of salt and nutritional supplements for children and pregnant women.

Additionally, 13096 families in Herat city will receive cash assistance of 2,900 Afghanis per family for six months.

The agreement is a significant step towards providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. The National Disaster Management Authority and RSDO have been working together to provide aid to those in need, and this agreement will help to further their efforts.
